Welcome to Mantle Network Mainnet v2 Tectonic
Mantle Network has successfully completed its Mainnet v2 Tectonic upgrade.
The upgrade, based on the OP Stack Bedrock, enhances Mantle Network's capacity to offer a cost-effective platform by providing some of the lowest gas fees among Ethereum layer-2 (L2) solutions while also making significant advancements in its interoperability with other EVM chains within the OP Stack ecosystem.

Latest ๐ fixes and upgrades
MetaMask team just made a PR regarding the estimated gas fee for Mantle v2 Tectonic. This is a huge improvement from a UX and DevX perspective from Mantle v1. If you wish to deep dive into the new estimated gas fee feature with Mantle v2 Tectonic, have a look here: Transactions Fee Doc

- Do you know the difference between Decentralized sequencing and Fair Sequencing? Our own Mantle researcher Franck spoke about this during the Ethereum meetup in Sydney. Check the video out here.
In contrast to decentralized sequencing, which is a choice of implementation (how the system is implemented), fair sequencing is a specification: It provides censorship resistance (cryptoeconomics security) and fairness (provably random ordering). Our proposal at Mantle is a light-weight solution in the sense that it does not rely on a consensus layer. It is modular and the three main modules, pool manager, sequencer and executor, can be further refined to integrate some fault-tolerance mechanisms.
It is worth noting that we achieve censorship and fairness resistance with a combination of first-come-first-serve (FCFS) policy and random ordering. FCFS allows us to fill in the batches, and each batch is randomly ordered. This prevents transactions from being indefinitely delayed or delayed by an unbounded (finite but arbitrarily large) amount of time.

โ๏ธ Builder sessions: Twice a month we run "Builder Sessions" on Twitter. These are casual conversations with partners integrating with Mantle, hackathon winners or web3 builders making a change in the space. If you have any projects you would like to discuss, from a builder's perspective, please feel free to reach out to us in our Discord or TG group.
