How Mantle Moonshot Works

Every week, Mantle will introduce two protocols and reveal their set tasks for the week, hosted on Galxe. These tasks will only be announced at the start of each Mantle Moonshot week, and include a variety of activities, from trading, staking, depositing, referral, social media follows and more.

Participants will need to complete every specified task per Moonshot Protocol via Galxe before the specific Mantle Moonshot week ends to be eligible for a mystery box from that particular protocol, where they may win an exclusive Citizens of Mantle NFT add-on trait!

Moonshot Protocol tasks will only be available for completion during their assigned weeks as follows:

We're thrilled to be working with some of Mantle Ecosystem's biggest supporters to bring to you Mantle Moonshot, in which they have tailored quests exclusively for our communities. Don't forget to complete each Moonshot Protocol's tasks set during its scheduled week; once the week ends at the timings outlined above, you will no longer be able to access these tasks, and will therefore not be eligible for the corresponding mystery box.

Unlock The Mystery Box: Citizens of Mantle NFT Add-On Traits & More

• 19,000 Citizens of Mantle NFT Add-On Traits

Each Moonshot Protocol has chosen one (1) unique headgear trait as a part of rewards for winners of the Mantle Moonshot event during their stipulated weeks, and only 19,000 traits are available across all protocols — that's a total of eight (8) never-before-seen add-on traits that participants could stand a chance to win.

Each Moonshot Protocol will be giving away one (1) headgear trait to the stipulated number of lucky Mantle Moonshot participants (as seen in the table above) who complete that protocol's tasks. Check out which head gears will be in the prize pool:

After you have finished all the tasks set by Moonshot Protocols during the allotted week, you will be able to unlock a mystery box. Open it to find out whether you've won a Citizens of Mantle NFT add-on trait!

Citizens of Mantle NFT add-on trait rewards under Mantle Moonshot are allocated to eligible users by random selection. Participate in all Moonshot Protocol quests to stand a chance of winning all available headgear traits.

Dec. 7 Update: If the total number of users who complete all quests for a single protocol are less than the total supply of the traits provided by the protocol, all of the users who completed quests fully will get an add-on trait.

• Protocol Token Rewards

And that's not all — for all lucky Mantle Moonshot participants who win headgear traits, you are entitled to an equal cut of the token reward pool provided by the trait's corresponding Moonshot Protocol, shared by all eligible winners. For example, if Protocol A's token reward pool is 1,000,000 tokens, and there are a total of 3,000 add-on trait winners, each of these winners will win 1,000,000 / 3,000 = 333.33 tokens.

Thanks to participating Mantle Ecosystem projects, you'll not only get to own an exclusive, limited headgear trait for your Citizens of Mantle NFT, but tokens as well!

Please note that you will only be able to receive token rewards from a particular Moonshot Protocol if you have won that protocol's corresponding headgear trait and follow the "Reward Distribution Guide" section below for more detailed information.

• Mantle Journey (MJ) Miles

For all other participants who did not manage to win add-on traits in their mystery box, you will walk away with 200 MJ Miles instead. This is on top of the regular MJ Miles you would earn for interacting with verified protocols in various activities up until the tentative end of Season Alpha on Jan. 15, 2023, 11:59PM UTC, as outlined in Moonshot Protocol quests, if applicable. Dec. 7 Update: From Mantle Moonshot Week 2 onwards, the above has been adjusted. All users who complete all quests will be guaranteed 200 MJ Miles. The mystery box will contain either a Citizens of Mantle NFT add-on trait or be empty.

Ready for take-off? Here's what you need to do:

• Step 1: Bridge or Deposit to Mantle Network
  • If you already hold assets on Mantle Network and are a registered Mantle Journey user who has minted their Mantle Journey Soulbound Token (MJSBT), you may skip this and the next step.
• Step 2: Mint Your MJSBT
  • For users new to Mantle Journey, please ensure that you have minted your MJSBT here and kicked off your Mantle Journey.
• Step 3: Head to the Mantle Moonshot homepage
  • Find the Moonshot Protocol tasks you'd like to complete.
• Step 4: Go to Galxe's Mantle Moonshot homepage and complete Moonshot Protocol quests
  • Please make sure to log in on Galxe with the same wallet address that is tied to your MJSBT on Mantle Journey.
  • Once you've completed all set tasks per protocol, you will be able to unlock the corresponding mystery box to find out if you've won yourself a Citizens of Mantle NFT add-on trait!

Reward Distribution Guide

• For Citizens of Mantle NFT Add-On Traits & MJ Miles

Unlock your mystery box(es) after the full completion of Moonshot Protocol quests within the outlined claiming periods below per Mantle Moonshot week. Upon successful claiming of the mystery box and unlocking either the add-on trait for your Citizens of Mantle NFT, or MJ Miles, please note that these will be distributed to you before the reward distribution date as stated below.

Protocol token rewards distribution period will be covered under a separate schedule in the next section.

Thereafter, head to your Mantle Journey profile to find your new headgear trait under "Collections", or your MJ Miles added to your overall profile.

• For Token Protocol Rewards

As token protocol rewards are only distributed to users who have won the protocol's corresponding Citizens of Mantle NFT add-on trait, after winners have received their headgear trait in their Mantle Journey profile during the distribution as outlined in the previous section, they will need to upgrade their Citizens of Mantle NFT with the new trait.

Please note that one (1) Citizens of Mantle NFT character can only be upgraded once. If you have won more than one (1) add-on trait, please make sure to upgrade a separate NFT character for both upgrades to count. If you upgrade the same NFT character more than once, you will permanently remove the previous upgrade(s) and add-on trait(s).

We will take a snapshot of all Citizens of Mantle NFT holders who have successfully completed the upgrade with add-on traits won under Mantle Moonshot on Feb. 1, 2024, and recipients of Moonshot Protocol token rewards will be processed in the ensuing weeks after. Keep an eye out for the weekly announcements that kick off each Moonshot week for more details on when recipients will receive their token rewards.

Terms & Conditions:

1. For quests that require holding periods (such as staking), as long as you start the quest during the stipulated Moonshot week and hold it for the specified amount of time, it will be counted even if the end of the holding period extends beyond the end of the Moonshot week. Similarly, participants will have to fulfill the holding period entirely before the quest is considered completed (and therefore contributing to mystery box unlocking progress).
2. Participants are only eligible for rewards (MJ Miles and/or addon-traits) if they fully complete Moonshot Protocol tasks and successfully unlock their mystery box. Please check the "Rewards Distribution Guide" section for details on when to claim rewards before they expire.
3. Citizens of Mantle NFT add-on traits won must be upgraded onto owned Citizens of Mantle NFTs for it to count for protocol token rewards. Simply having the add-on trait in your collection is not sufficient for you to to be eligible for protocol token rewards under Moonshot. As mentioned under the "Rewards Distribution Guide", a snapshot of successfully upgraded Citizens of Mantle NFTs with their add-on traits will happen on Feb. 1, 2024, and each upgraded NFT will be eligible for the respective protocol token rewards. Eligible winners will only be able to receive rewards once from a single protocol.
4. Participants will need to mint an MJSBT and hold assets on Mantle Network (or bridge or make a deposit if they have not done so), and also create an account on Galxe to complete various Moonshot Protocol quests. You must log in to Galxe with the same wallet address that is paired with your MJSBT for completed quests to be indexed.
5. Please check Galxe's Mantle Moonshot homepage and Mantle Moonshot weekly blogs for more details on how to successfully complete each set task by corresponding protocols. 6. Mantle Journey (Regular Program): As Mantle Moonshot Week 4 stretches beyond the tentative end date of Mantle Journey Season Alpha on Jan. 15, 2024, any regular MJ Miles accumulated from interacting with verified protocols will be manually calculated and added to your total MJ Miles. It will be counted under Season Alpha and added before tabulation for Season Alpha rewards, subject to sybil check as per Season Alpha final reward eligibility terms and conditions.
